Raucous! Everything Raven - Now at the North Museum through January 19

Explore the natural history of this mischievous bird and its role in world folklore through a variety of stations throughout the museum. Challenge a friend to Raven Games, relax with a book in the Reading Roost, search for raven “bling” in a scavenger hunt, and tune into the Raven Radio to hear real raven calls and vocalizations.

Raucous! Everything Raven combines whimsical art, three dimensional installations, and wall paintings created by Alaskan artist Evon Zerbetz. Zerbetz uses traditional hand carving and tinting techniques to create original prints. Her work has been featured in eight galleries in Alaska and the Midwest, and has been awarded four public art commissions in Alaska. She has also illustrated six children’s books, including Ten Rowdy Ravens, the inspiration behind Raucous. Zerbetz will travel to Lancaster to install the exhibition at the North Museum. Raucous: Everything Raven is made possible by support from Ellen A. and Robert F. Groff, Jr., the Pennsylvania Humanities Council, and the John F. Steinman Foundation.
