Program Descriptions
Astro-Tots - Recommended for 3 and 4 year olds
Free! A program for the youngest stargazers! Using song and stuffed animals, the program explains how the rotation of the Earth causes night and day, and introduces some of the major seasonal constellations.
Produced by the North Museum of Natural History and Science. Length: approximately 20 minutes.
The Super Sky Show - Recommended for ages 5 through 7
It's the Super Sky Show! With your host Seymour Sky! With a Dave Letterman approach, Seymour interviews special guests, the Sun, the Earth, Queen Cassiopeia and a mystery guest. The audience will learn the differences between a star and a planet, the basics facts about the Earth's revolution and rotation, how to find the Big and Little Dippers, in addition to the myths behind Cassiopeia and the mystery guest.
Produced by the Calgary Science Centre. Length: approximately 30 minutes.
Blown Away: The Wild World of Weather - Recommended for ages 9 through 13 
Discover the awesome fury of a tornado. Become immersed in a category four hurricane and be swept into a thunderstorm. This virtual adventure provides an incredible look at the Earth’s weather and all it’s many forms. Along with spectacular weather footage, Blown Away: The Wild World of Weather features a journey into space to explore the Sun’s effect on weather conditions and on-screen appearances by news meteorologists to further uncover the science of our planet’s climate.
Blown Away: The Wild World of Weather was created by The New Detroit Science Center and the Dassault Systemes Planetarium. Length: approximately 40 minutes
Night Sky Tour - Recommended for ages 10 and older
Our planetarium staff will teach how to identify the stars, constellations, and planets of the current night sky, along with observing tips for upcoming celestial events. Packed with science facts, the sky will come alive and you'll really be able to identify constellations from your own backyard! Night Sky Tour program is different for each operator. Length: varies from 30 - 40 minutes, dependant on planetarium operator.

Enjoy a fun-filled scientific journey as Entertainer Fred Penner takes you from your backyard to the stars. While singing to Fred's clap-along songs, learn about the seasons, constellations, planets, and the moon.

The Planets: A Voyage Across our Solar System - Recommended for ages 10 and older
Take an exciting tour of the solar system as narrator Kate Mulgrew (of Star Trek: Voyager) looks at each planet as well as the formation of the solar system and extra-solar planets located within the spring constellations.
