North Museum Science & Engineering Fair
March 23 - 25, 2009
Get ready to experiment! As the school year gets underway, the North Museum of Natural History & Science begins writing a new chapter in the fifty-five-year history of Lancaster County's premier science and engineering fair. Franklin & Marshall College will again host the three-day event at its Mayser Gymnasium.
After the fair, join us on April 15, 2009, for the North Museum Champions of Science Dinner, as we celebrate the five champions and twenty-one category winners at the Lancaster County Country Club.
Science Fair Update:
Over 700 student projects were submitted for the 2009 North Museum Science & Engineering Fair. In November, submitted projects were formally reviewed by a panel of 30 teachers, professors and physicians. Approved applicants are currently testing hypotheses, collecting data and analyzing results in preparation for the Science Fair in March.
So far, almost 60 category judges have committed to assisting with the adjudication process. There are several needs for volunteers to make this year's fair a success. Please contact Jim Ringlein at 291-4077 or at james.ringlein@fandm.edu for more information.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available; if interested, please contact Jamie Alton at 358-4712 or james.alton@fandm.edu.
